Clay Stephens is a contemporary abstract and expressionist painter working primarily in acrylic on canvas and mixed media on paper and canvas.

Clay is experienced in and has worked in many media including oil, watercolor, batik, charcoal, pastel, pottery, and sculpture; however, for the past several years has experimented with and prefers bold works executed with acrylic on canvas.  His works convey a sense of movement, energy and passion with a colorist approach.

Clay's award winning work has been part of many solo exhibits and juried shows. His paintings are part of corporate and private collections throughout the United States and abroad.
